Our Privacy Philosophy

At Parsefy, we believe that your data belongs to you. Our tool is designed to provide powerful conversion capabilities without ever compromising your privacy. Unlike traditional online converters, we do not require you to upload your files to our servers.

100% Local Processing

Every conversion we offer happens entirely within your browser — JSON, CSV, TSV, JSONL, SQL statements, and answers pasted from AI assistants alike. We use client-side technologies such as JavaScript's FileReader and local processing libraries. The files and text you convert never leave your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

Files you download — .xlsx workbooks, .csv and .zip exports, and Word-readable .doc documents — are assembled in the page itself. There is no server step in producing them, which is why the tools keep working after you disconnect from the internet.

Data You Convert

Parsefy does not collect, store, or share any of the data you input into the converters, formatter, or viewer. That content is processed only in your browser's memory and is discarded when you close or refresh the page.

This applies equally to text pasted from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot or any other assistant. Those answers often contain work documents, client details or figures that have not been published, and none of it is read, logged or sent anywhere by us.

Clipboard Access

The "Copy" buttons write the converted result to your system clipboard, which requires your browser's clipboard permission. We only ever write to the clipboard, and only in direct response to you clicking a button. Parsefy never reads your clipboard, and nothing copied is transmitted anywhere — it goes from the page to your clipboard and no further.

Images in Converted Content

When an answer you paste contains an image hosted elsewhere, we deliberately convert it to a link rather than an embedded image. Had we embedded it, the program you paste into would fetch that file from a third-party server the moment you pasted — telling that server what you were working on and when. Only images already embedded in the text itself are kept as images.

Analytics & Cookies

To understand aggregate traffic and improve the site, we use privacy-conscious analytics services (Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics). These may set cookies and collect anonymized usage data such as the pages you visit, approximate region, browser type, and the site that referred you.

We also record an event when a conversion produces a result, so we can tell which tools are worth maintaining. That event contains four things and nothing else:

  • which tool was used, as its page address
  • whether you copied or downloaded the result
  • the output format, such as xlsx or csv
  • a size bracket — under 1,000 characters, 1,000 to 10,000, or more — never the exact length, because an exact character count can identify a document on its own

Your content is not part of that event, and there is no field it could occupy: the code that sends it accepts only the four values above. Analytics never have access to the files or text you convert. If you prefer, you can block these with your browser settings or an ad/tracker blocker without affecting the converters.
